Cleantech Solar’s solar park in Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar commissions 40 MWp solar PV projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its 280 MWp solar park in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, 17 January 2023: Cleantech Solar, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in India and Southeast Asia, has commissioned 40 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for a global industrial manufacturing giant at its 280 MWp solar park in Tamil Nadu. The off-taker will procure power from this solar park on a captive basis, powering their manufacturing facility in the state.

Cleantech Solar’s long-term solar partnership with the customer is expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of clean energy during the lifetime of the project, which amounts to a reduction of approximately 1,221 kilotonnes of CO2emissions. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey solar provider, with the fully operational solar project being designed, financed, built, as well as operated and maintained by the developer throughout the term of the agreement.

Mr. Raju Shukla, Founder and CEO of Cleantech Solar, said: “It is heartening to see top-notch industry leaders embrace green energy and we are glad to be their trusted sustainability partners in this journey, helping them power their facilities from our state-of-the-art solar park in Tamil Nadu. Our top-quality and cost-effective solar energy solution will enable marked reduction in carbon emissions whilst providing security of energy supply. Congratulations to both teams on the successful commissioning of the system.”
