Johor, Malaysia, 30th October 2019 – Cleantech Solar, the leading provider of renewable energy to corporations in Asia, announced today a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to finance, design, build, operate and maintain a 3.7 MW solar PV system on the site of a multinational manufacturing company located in Johor.
The PV system will have over 9,000 solar modules fitted across the entire rooftop and, across the term of the agreement, is expected to generate over 86 GWh of clean energy, equivalent to avoiding 60,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. This project will bolster the multinational manufacturer’s sustainability efforts by substituting a portion of its electricity consumption with clean energy but will also reduce operating costs, without requiring any capital investment.
