Raju has vast experience and over 22 years in the financial services in Asia. Before Cleantech Solar, he was the Managing Director and Country Head of Barclays Capital India from 2007 to 2012. Prior to his tenure with Barclays, Raju has held senior investment banking positions at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, SBC Warburg and DSP Merrill Lynch.
Beyond Cleantech Solar, Raju Shukla is also the Founder of Ariana Investment Management that offers high-quality niche investment products across asset classes and geographies.
Our team have between them developed, financed and installed numerous projects across different geographies and have experience with some of the world’s leading solar developers, panel manufacturers, construction companies, research institutions and IPPs.

Robert Morrice
Founder and Board Member
Robert was Chairman and CEO for Barclays in Asia Pacific from 2001 to 2014. Based in Hong Kong, he held executive responsibility for Barclays Capital, Barclays Corporate and Barclays Wealth in the region and was also a member of Barclays Asia Pacific Advisory Committee and Barclays Capital Executive Committee. Earlier in his career, Robert held positions at Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley spanning a period of over 30 years.

Dr. Holger Eick
Founder and Board Member
Holger uses his extensive experience in risk management and ratings to head the group’s risk committee. Holger founded Varlesco Capital in 2015 after 14 years in investment banking. Until 2014, he was Managing Director and Head of Ratings Advisory and Capital Structuring for Asia-Pacific at Barclays Investment Bank. In this role, he advised corporates, financial institutions and sovereigns in Asia-Pacific on financial strategy and ratings related issues.

Andrew Jones
Founder
Andrew is a Founder and Board Director of Cleantech Energy Corporation, a commercial and industrial rooftop solar business operating in several countries in Asia. Prior to founding Cleantech in 2014, he held a number of leadership positions in trading, sales, capital markets and business operations across Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management at Barclays. He retired from his role as Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman, Asia Pacific after 25 years in the financial services industry 2017. He has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong and Singapore; spending much of his career developing businesses and infrastructure in new markets. Andrew is an experienced investor and mentor of early-stage enterprises in technology, renewables, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and property. Additionally, he is a non-executive Director of a UK consumer finance company, Senior Advisor to a hedge fund, a member of the Institute of Directors and ‘would be’ farmer. Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from University College Cardiff and a PGDip in Agriculture from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester.

Michael Carey
Vice President Finance, Shell Australia – Cleantech Solar Board Member
Michael held various roles in finance and business development throughout Shell’s businesses that have included Vice President Finance of Shell’s Global Integrated Gas Business, Global Commercial Fuels and Lubricants division, Vice President Strategy and Finance of Shell’s Exploration and Production businesses in Australia, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, based in the Hague, Vice President Finance, Strategy & Portfolio of Shell’s Global Downstream Manufacturing and Marketing businesses as well as Chief Financial Officer of Shell’s Global Future Fuels and CO2 division, the division accountable for research and development of bio-fuels, hydrogen fuels, CO2 abatement & sequestration developments.

Boris Schubert
GM of Solar and Storage Projects, Shell New Energies – Cleantech Solar Board Member
Boris has been part of the Energy transition for more than 20 years. Before joining Shell, Boris built a global project development and finance team for ET Capital, developed utility-scale projects in California for saferay, and led Q-Cells’ efforts to establish a successful EPC and O&M business in North America. Before his time in the renewables industry, Boris was a Manager in Accenture’s Utilities practice, where he oversaw projects in CRM and Distributed Generation.
