Siam Winery leads by example in their commitments towards environmental sustainability with Cleantech Solar
Siam Winery, Thailand’s leading producer and distributor of wine and innovative lifestyle beverages, has operations that cover every aspect of winemaking – from growing and harvesting, through to ageing, bottling, and distribution. The company’s portfolio not only includes locally produced award-winning wines but also carries a distinct range of imported wines and premium beverage brands from around the world.
The Starting Point
Siam Winery is committed to doing their part in improving society with the stance that business achievement goes far beyond just financial targets. They regularly initiate programs to preserve the interests, benefits and potential concerns of society. With the increasing consumer demand for sustainably made products, adopting on-site solar is one clear choice to be integrated into their sustainability journey.
The Result
An on-site solar PV system has been installed on the rooftop of Siam Winery’s state-of-the-art winery in Samut Sakhon through a long-term partnership with Cleantech Solar. With a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Cleantech Solar fully financed the design, installation, and will continue to maintain the solar PV system across the agreement term. Through this solar partnership, Siam Winery will enjoy cleaner and cheaper electricity without any capital outlay.
Being the country’s largest wine company, Siam Winery’s move towards on-site solar electricity consumption showcases sustainability leadership to drive the adoption of clean solar energy for businesses across Thailand.
