This long-term partnership between Cleantech Solar and Berli Dynaplast Company Limited is expected to generate over 70.5 GWh of clean energy during the system’s lifetime, amounting to a reduction of over 40 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. The solar PV system will contribute significantly to Dynapack Asia’s goal of improving energy efficiency and thereby contributing towards a more sustainable supply chain. To add to this, it will also improve the company’s bottom line by providing cost savings on electricity.
Mr. Sebastien Borne, Procurement & Group Sustainability Director at Dynapack Asia, said: “Great execution from the Cleantech team in Thailand to finalize this 2nd phase on our Lopburi factory, which required roof repairs before the installation of the solar-panels. In a context of Covid disruptions, the project works could still be moved consistently and completed in a good time. Our 2 combined systems now have produced ~ 2,750 MWh of solar electricity over the past 13 months, and we are happy with this performance.
Mr. Raju Shukla, Founder and CEO of Cleantech Solar, said:
“It is indeed a matter of great pride for us to successfully commission the second phase of this solar PV project for Berli Dynaplast Company Limited in Thailand. This project will reduce the company’s carbon footprint and electricity costs, contributing to their goal of cutting emissions and incorporating solar power in their energy mix for their operations in the region. At Cleantech Solar, we focus on providing solar solutions of the highest quality to our clients and are glad to receive their support and encouragement by way of continued partnership across markets in the region.”
