Sanjay Gupta has been appointed as the CEO of Cleantech Solar, bringing nearly four decades of experience in the energy sector to the role. His career spans conventional and renewable energy assets, with a strong focus on innovation, decarbonisation strategies, and value creation for stakeholders. He has held leadership positions across globally recognised organisations, including Keppel Fund Management, Sembcorp Industries, and EnergyAustralia, where he consistently demonstrated expertise in asset management, engineering governance, and operational excellence.

At Keppel Fund Management, Sanjay served as Director, Asset Management, where he led asset management initiatives and contributed to strategic energy infrastructure investments. During his tenure at Sembcorp Industries, he oversaw global engineering efforts, driving performance improvements across a diverse portfolio exceeding 10 GW. In addition to his executive roles, Sanjay has served as a Director on the boards of several companies, including Cleantech Solar, prior to his appointment as CEO. He is committed to advancing the company’s mission of delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions across Asia, leveraging his extensive technical and commercial expertise in the energy landscape.

Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University and an MBA (Distinction) from Sydney Business School.

Brian is the CFO of Cleantech Solar and is responsible for the strategic finance direction to support the growth of the company. Prior to joining Cleantech Solar, Brian has spent over 13 years at Alpha Investment Partners, the private fund investment manager of Keppel Capital, setting up and managing the finance function for the private funds. Brian graduated with a B. Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a CPA holder.

Suchita Saigal is General Counsel at Cleantech Solar. In her career spanning over 12 years, she has worked with top-tier law firms and companies across jurisdictions and has in-depth experience in advising lenders, government entities and IPPs in project development and financing transactions. Starting her career as a trainee lawyer at Clifford Chance, London, she joined Clifford Chance’s London-based Energy and Infrastructure practice upon qualification. Subsequently, on relocating to India, Suchita worked with top-tier energy and infrastructure practices in JSA and Trilegal, and leading in-house teams in the Energy and Infrastructure sector. As the General Counsel of Cleantech Solar’s rapidly growing business, Suchita heads the legal and corporate secretarial verticals and advises on matters ranging from commercial contracts, financing documents, investments, litigations and compliances.
